Why a group podcast might be better than a group weblog; recording Skype calls to create an audioblog/podcast show. My reflections on using a project weblog, resulting from my discussions yesterday at the University of Manchester with Ian Robertson and colleagues. What could be the benefits and limitations of using a blog to keep project partners and project stakeholders engaged through frequent, first-person accounts of the project's developments, setbacks, milestones, surprises, successes?
I recorded this via my cell phone this afternoon on my way to the Twin Cities. I blogged it when I returned home. Subject: How to personalize your written blog entry or audioblog without being an ego maniac.
I posted this from my cell phone after today's Minnesota Association of Government Communicators meeting. I'm guessing that it's going to take considerable citizen blogosphere attacks on local government leaders before there's more motivation to intiate blogging themselves. (I'm adding text to this post at 7 pm. I plan to add the audio to my podcast as soon as iTunes lists it in their podcast offerings… which should happen in a day or two.)
I posted this short audio clip from my mobile phone on the way to the meeting in the cities. It briefly summarizes my morning meetings with Charlie Kyte, Executive Director of the Minnesota School Administrators Association (a new client with a new weblog called Voice of MN Education), and then with Father Dempsey. In the process, I learned that a mobile podcast via Audioblog.com does not automatically post an audioblog here. So I could have waited till I got back to my PC and manually posted the podcast submission here as well, but instead, I chose to record it a second time so it could be available here immediately. I’m now editing this post at 6:30 PM.
The inaugural edition of the show. Why I’m doing a podcast, what I hope to learn, the simple tools I’m using to produce it. |
