North Lincolnshire councillors in blogging class

IMG_1585.JPG twobloggers.jpg IMG_1586.JPG

This morning I teamed up with Sally McDavid to teach a blogging class at NorthlincsNet's ReadMyDay world headquarters in Scunthorpe. We worked with a group of ten North Lincolnshire Councillors from 10:30 to 12:30, giving them an overview of leadership blogging followed by a hands-on class. Center photo: councillors Pauline Carlile and Andrea Deas (photo was moblogged from class but I've repurposed it for here); right photo on the laptops, councillors Dick Fordham and Steve Swift with over-the-shoulder supervision from Tony Ellerby.

I met this morning at the City of York Council (I took the photo in the middle last night) with ReadMyDay blogger and Councillor Andy D'agorne, Richard Lane, political assistant for the local Green Party (Richard and Andy in photo above), Councillor Quentin MacDonald, and Liberal Democrat political assistant Kate Hudson.

It's now 1:30 pm and I'm about to catch the train to Selby for a meeting with councillors there tonight.

York Churchbells

Sunday morning: The most amazing churchbells I’ve ever heard. And they went on and on and on.

York photos

I finally got an internet connection at noon today (Sunday) at the Evil Eye Lounge here in the center of the walled city of York. Frustrating. But it gave some time last night and this morning to wander about taking photos.  Here are three (click to enlarge) and I've put up a dozen+ more at the bottom of page 1 and top of page 2 of the UK photo album.

Wow. A very old and quaint hotel. No net access, tho. After a nap, I will go inside walls of city and find some.
